2 detained in NIA raids – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism | Breaking News J&K

Srinagar, Oct 29: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted raids at multiple locations in Kashmir during which they recovered incriminating material and detained at least two persons.
An official said that these raids were conducted at Srinagar and Baramulla in militancy related cases.
The NIA sleuths along with police and CRPF raided the houses of Altaf Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Majeed of Dangerpora and Muhamad Ayoub Bhat son of Habibulla Bhat of Hyder Colony Sopore today. The raids continued for several hours during which they seized four mobile phones from the house of Dar besides some incriminating documents. Bhat was arrested and shifted to SOG headquarters at Cargo in Srinagar.
They also raided the house of Mohammad Yaseen Dar son of Muhamad Ramzan Dar of Frastihaar Khawajbagh in district Baramulla. They recovered some incriminating documents. Dar was arrested and shifted to the Cargo.
The NIA also raided the house of Ishfaq Amin Wani son of Mohammad Amin Wani of Sector 4 Hamdania Colony in Bemina today. Three mobile phones, diaries and few documents were seized from the house of Wani.
The NIA also raided house of one Amir Ahmad Gojri and Mohammad Ramzan Gojri at Summerbugh New Colony in Lasjan area in the outskirts of Srinagar.
Earlier this week, the NIA conducted searches at the houses of several Jamat-e-Islami leaders at 17 locations across Jammu and Kashmir regarding militancy funding case.
The raids were conducted at seven districts that include Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Budgam, Kishtwar and Jammu districts.
The case against JeI leaders was registered in February this year for separatism and secessionism. The NIA said that members of the organisation have been collecting funds domestically and abroad which are being used for violent and secessionist activities.
There are also allegations of they being motivating youth of Kashmir and recruiting new members of JeI in J&K to participate in disruptive secessionist activities.
The NIA also arrested 9 persons in Kashmir on October 13 for providing logistics to militants for carrying out attacks including recent target killings across the Valley.
The NIA said that they seized electronic devices and incriminating Jehadi documents during raids. They said five persons were accused involved in providing logistics and other support to militants for carrying out attacks in various parts of Kashmir.
